Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How to Unlock Flight in the Indigo Disk DLC

Get ready to take to the skies in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet with the highly anticipated Indigo Disk DLC. Players were initially introduced to the glide ability in the base game, but with the new DLC, they will be able to truly fly on Koraidon or Miraidon.

What's the Difference Between Gliding and Flying?

While the glide ability, unlocked through the Path of Legends questline with Arven, allows players to channel their inner Buzz Lightyear and fall in style, flying is a whole new level of freedom. With the glide ability, players can only slowly drift towards the ground, but with the flight ability, they can soar to new heights.

How to Unlock Flight in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk

  1. Complete the main storyline of the Indigo Disk DLC.
  2. Reach a certain point in the DLC, where you'll encounter the Elite Trial challenge set by Amarys, one of the BB League's Elite Four Members.
  3. Complete the Elite Trial challenge, during which Amarys will feed your Pokémon a special supplement that allows it to fly.
  4. After completing the main storyline of the Indigo Disk, return to Blueberry Academy's classroom 3-2 and talk to Amarys.
  5. Amarys will gift you more of the special flight supplement, which you can use to unlock the permanent flight ability on Koraidon or Miraidon.

How to Use Miraidon/Koraidon Flight Ability

Once you've unlocked the flight ability, using it is straightforward:

  1. Begin gliding on your Pokémon by jumping, then hitting the B button a second time.
  2. Press down on the left stick to transition from gliding to flying.
  3. Tilt the left stick up to ascend or down to descend.
  4. Press the left stick again to return to gliding.

With the flight ability, you'll be able to explore the world of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet like never before. Get ready to take your Pokémon journey to new heights!
