How to Set Your Game World to Private in The First Descendant

Are you tired of playing The First Descendant with unwanted company? The game's heavy focus on co-op play can sometimes feel like a blessing and a curse. While it's nice to have fellow players to team up with, it can get frustrating when you're trying to complete missions solo, only to have another player swoop in and finish them for you. Fortunately, there's a way to play in peace and enjoy the game without interruptions.

Why Switch to Private Game in The First Descendant?

Playing in a private game world allows you to enjoy The First Descendant without the distractions and interruptions that come with playing in a public world. This way, you can focus on completing missions at your own pace, without worrying about other players jumping in and finishing them for you.

Step-by-Step Guide to Switch to Private/Solo Game

  1. Open the World Map: In Albion, open up the map and then switch to the World Map.
  2. Select the Area: Choose the area you want to make private and open it up. For example, you can select Sterile Land.
  3. Find the Public Button: Once you've opened up the map for that area, look for the Public button on the top-left area of the map beside the name of the area.
  4. Switch to Private: Click on the Public button once, and it'll switch to Private. This will make the entire field private, and only you and your party members will spawn in the field.

After switching to private, you can fast-travel to the area without worrying about other players interrupting you. This also gives you better in-game FPS in The First Descendant as a bonus.

Important Notes:

Do note that you can only set areas/fields to private before fast-traveling to them. You cannot change the privacy settings after you've traveled to the area.Albion, the community hub, will always remain public by default and cannot be switched to private.
