How to Unlock the Chu-Bai Spear in Black Myth Wukong
Unlocking new Staff variations is a crucial part of exploring the world of Black Myth Wukong. One of the most sought-after variations is the Chu-Bai Spear, which can be unlocked in Chapter 3. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to unlock this powerful Staff variation.
Unlocking the Jail Cells and Meeting the Third-Prince NPC
Once you arrive in the Pagoda Realm in Chapter 3, your first task is to unlock the jail cells. This will allow you to interact with the Third-Prince NPC, who can be found in the Lower Pagoda. He'll ask you to find his four captains, which is where your journey to unlock the Chu-Bai Spear begins.
First Captain Location – Lotus Vision
The first Captain, Lotus Vision, can be found on the Upper Pagoda. To locate him, face the Upper Pagoda shrine, make a U-turn, and go forward until you see a hole in the ground. Jump through the hole, and you'll come face to face with Captain Lotus Vision.
After defeating Captain Lotus Vision, you'll have collected one of the four Captain's information for the Third Prince. This will also unlock the locked cells with the purple seal, allowing you to visit them and receive various items, spirit transformation, and interact with the Third Prince NPC.
Second Captain Location – Wise Voice
The second Captain, Wise-Voice, is located on top of the Pagoda prison in the Mani Wheel area. This enemy is responsible for the shadow realm mechanic that shortens your max health and makes all enemies aggressive in the Prison.
Defeating Wise-Voice will unlock all the jail cells, get rid of the shadow realm mechanic, and provide information on the second Captain.
Locating the Remains of the Third Captain
After entering the Valley of Ecstacy, slide down the snow, and use the Forest of Felicity Shrine. Then, follow the path that curves to the right. Continue moving forward until you pass through another decrepit gate structure and see a huge red gate. Go through the gate, and you'll come into the snow plains, where you'll see a giant Yaoguai. Use Cloud Step to go past the giant Yaoguai, and you'll find the remains of the Third Captain.
Fourth Captain Location – Kalpa Wave
Head left past the rock, and you'll come across the Longevity Road Shrine. From here, go forward, take a right, and you'll see the fourth Captain, Kalpa-Wave. Engage the captain and defeat it to receive its information.
Receiving the Chubai Spearhead and Crafting the Chu-Bai Spear
After collecting information on all four Captains, return to the Lower Pagoda and deliver the information to the Third Prince NPC. He'll reward you with the Chubai Spearhead, which is necessary for crafting the Chu-Bai Spear.
To craft the Chu-Bai Spear, you'll need the following materials:
- 1x Chubai Spearhead
- 4x Refined Iron Sand
- 8x Yaoguai Core
- 21000 Will
With the required materials, you can craft the Chu-Bai Spear at any shrine. The Chu-Bai Spear pairs well with the Thrust Stance, so make sure to level up the stance to make the most of it.
