WoW Classic Winter Veil Guide: Treats for Greatfather Winter Quest
The holiday season has arrived in Azeroth, and with it comes the Winter Veil event in WoW Classic. This festive celebration brings with it a variety of quests, rewards, and activities for players to enjoy. One of the most popular quests during this time is the Treats for Greatfather Winter quest, which requires players to cook up some tasty Gingerbread Cookies to help out Greatfather Winter himself.
Getting Started with the Treats for Greatfather Winter Quest
To start the Treats for Greatfather Winter quest, players need to head to either Ironforge (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde) and find Greatfather Winter. He can be found near a giant Christmas tree at the following coordinates:
- Horde: 52.6, 69.6
- Alliance: 33.6, 66.0
Players must be level 10 to take on the quest, so make sure to level up before attempting to start it.
Getting the Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
The first step in completing the Treats for Greatfather Winter quest is to obtain the Gingerbread Cookies recipe. To do this, players need to have learned the Cooking secondary profession. This can be done by finding the NPC Zamja in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Wulmort Jinglepocket (Alliance) and learning the Cooking profession.
Next, players need to purchase the Gingerbread Cookie Recipe and 5 Holiday Spices from the NPC Penney Copperpinch (Horde) or Wulmort Jinglepocket (Alliance). These items can be purchased for 25 Copper and 10 Copper, respectively.
Getting Small Eggs in WoW Classic
In addition to the Gingerbread Cookie Recipe and Holiday Spices, players need to obtain Small Eggs to complete the quest. These can be obtained by defeating certain enemies or purchasing them from the Auction House.
Enemies that drop Small Eggs include:
- Swoops in Mulgore (Tauren starting zone)
- Strigid Hunters in Teldrassil (Night Elf starting zone)
- Other bird-like creatures in the starting zones
Alternatively, players can purchase Small Eggs from the Auction House, but be warned that prices may be high during the Winter Veil event.
Making the Gingerbread Cookies
Once players have obtained all the necessary ingredients, they can start making the Gingerbread Cookies. To do this, they need to find a cooking fire, which can be found in the Orgrimmar Inn (Horde) or other locations throughout the game.
Players can then open the Cooking menu and select the Gingerbread Cookie recipe. They will need to make five Gingerbread Cookies to complete the quest.
Finally, players need to purchase some Ice Cold Milk from the Innkeeper, which costs 1 Silver and 25 Copper.
Rewards for Completing the Treats for Greatfather Winter Quest
For completing the Treats for Greatfather Winter quest, players will receive the Smokywood Pastures Gift Pack, a random reward that contains materials that can be used for various professions.
After completing the quest, players can return to the Season of Discovery content and enjoy the new activities and rewards that Winter Veil has to offer.
