Diablo 4 Patch 1.3.1: Seneschal Companion Buffs, Affix Tweaks, and Bug Fixes
The latest patch for Diablo 4, patch 1.3.1, is now live, bringing with it a slew of changes, bug fixes, and improvements to the game. As part of the ongoing Season of the Construct, Blizzard has focused on addressing player concerns and tweaking various aspects of the game to provide a better overall experience.
Seneschal Companion Buffs Make Your Mechanical Ally Even Stronger
One of the major highlights of patch 1.3.1 is the significant buff to the Seneschal Companion. Most Governing Stones and a handful of Tuning Stones have received substantial buffs, making them stronger and more effective allies in the game.
This change comes in response to player feedback, which highlighted the Seneschal Companion's lack of impact compared to the Vampiric Powers from the previous season, Season of Blood. These buffs, combined with some additional changes made in a smaller update last week, aim to make the Season of the Construct's primary feature more rewarding for players.
Affix Tweaks and Dungeon Adjustments
In addition to the Seneschal Companion buffs, patch 1.3.1 includes several tweaks to Affixes, specifically the Vampiric and Suppressor Affixes.
The Vampiric Affix has been adjusted to reduce the amount of healing it provides to monsters across all World Tiers. The changes are as follows:
- World Tier I: 10% → 5%
- World Tier II: 20% → 10%
- World Tier III: 35% → 15%
- World Tier IV: 50% → 25%
The Suppressor Affix has also been tweaked, with a six-second duration and a 50-75% uptime, which can be cancelled when players inflict Stunned, Frozen, Knocked Down, or Dazed on the enemy with the affix.
Bug Fixes and Quality-of-Life Improvements
Patch 1.3.1 includes a long list of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, including:
- Accessibility fixes, such as improved Screen Reader functionality and clearer text-to-speech interactions
- Various Seneschal-related fixes, including issues with Chill stacks, Damage Over Time effects, and Tuning Stone tooltips
- Gameplay fixes, such as issues with Rogue's Dash ability and Whirlwind's channeling behavior
- Dungeon and Stronghold fixes, including problems with Animus drops, fog walls, and boss arena behavior
- UI and UX improvements, such as visual effects for Damage Over Time, Sorcerer's Incinerate skill, and Necromancer's damage numbers
- Miscellaneous fixes, including performance, stability, visual, UI, and audio improvements
