What is Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis?

Released in 2023, FFVII: Ever Crisis is a game that masterfully retells the stories of FFVII and FFVII: Crisis Core, while also introducing a brand-new narrative centered around the enigmatic one-winged angel, Sephiroth. This game seamlessly blends the old with the new, bridging the gap between the classic games and their remakes. Although it has received mixed reviews, Square Enix is eager to revitalize interest in the game by hosting a crossover event with the upcoming FFVII: Rebirth.

When is the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth & Ever Crisis Crossover Event?

The crossover event was scheduled to launch on February 15 at 6:00 PM PST, as announced by the official Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Twitter/X account. It ran until March 3, 5:59 PM PST. Players will be able to play the prologue chapter of FFVII: Rebirth, Fall of a Hero, in FFVII: Ever Crisis, but with some exciting gameplay tweaks.

During the crossover event, players will have the opportunity to experience the thrilling story of Cloud and Sephiroth investigating the Nibel Reactor. This event will allow fans to immerse themselves in the world of FFVII Rebirth, even if they haven't yet purchased a PS5.

How to Participate in the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth & Ever Crisis Crossover Event

Participating in the crossover event is relatively straightforward:

• Download Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, a free-to-play game available on Steam and mobile devices.
• Update the game to Ver. 1.6.0, which includes the prologue chapter of FFVII: Rebirth.
• Experience the story of Cloud and Sephiroth, complete with the unique combat and mechanics of FF7: Ever Crisis.

Players who participate in the event will also be able to complete event-exclusive quests and receive exchangeable items, such as Planet's Blessing and Moogle Medal, which can be traded for luxurious items at the exchange in the game.
