Discover the Vibrant World of Tomarang in The Sims 4 For Rent

The latest expansion pack for The Sims 4, For Rent, introduces a brand-new world that's packed with unique features and exciting gameplay opportunities. Say hello to Tomarang, an Asian-inspired world that's full of high-rise rentals and village traditions. In this article, we'll dive into what you can expect from this stunning new world and how it will enhance your Sims 4 experience.

What is the New World in Sims 4 For Rent?

Tomarang is a unique blend of tradition and modernity, according to EA. This world boasts a cityscape vibe alongside more tropical surroundings, complete with beautifully styled bridges, public spaces, fountains, and other gorgeous details that make it incredibly fun to explore. If you were worried about Tomarang being a copycat of San Myshuno from City Living, rest assured that it avoids that pitfall and feels like a truly new world.

One of the standout features of Tomarang is its new residential rental lot type, which allows you to create and manage your own rental properties. But that's not all – Tomarang also comes with a new set of unique interactions that make it feel like a truly new world.

Active Lots in Tomarang

Tomarang is relatively small in terms of playable locations, with nine active lots in total. However, the focus is clearly on the residential experience, with five of the active lots being residential. This includes two residential rental properties to choose from, three empty lots you can build on to create your landlord empire, and two community lots. The community spaces are a National Park in the Koh Sahpa neighborhood and a lounge called The Screaming Gecko in the Morengo neighborhood.

Though there aren't a ton of community lots, your Sim will still be able to interact with others in common spaces if they're living in a residential lot. This gives Tomarang a connected and communal vibe even with the relative lack of active community lots.

In addition to the active lots in Tomarang, there are a few Easter egg-style lots that you can interact with in more limited ways. These include:

The Tomarang Night Market

One of the big features of the new world in The Sims 4 is its exclusive Tomarang Night Market, where Sims can find exclusive items. The Night Market is a beautifully designed space in the game, with bright lights and plenty of vendors to check out. You can even unlock some Create a Sim items by visiting the market.

To find the Night Market, simply visit a public lot in the Morensong neighborhood (the National Park is the closest lot) and look around the open world until you spot the bright lights and stalls.

Along with the Night Market comes a number of new recipes, including Tofu Pad Thai, Halo-Halo, and Burmese Samosa Soup, among others. These recipes give your Sim a special Tomarang food moodlet as well.

Special Tomarang Interactions

The new world in For Rent also brings with it some new interactions and even a few new traits. Sims can now have the Child of the Village trait, which gives them some special Tomarang-specific interactions.

Some of the new interactions include:

Overall, Tomarang is a unique and exciting new world that's packed with features and gameplay opportunities. Whether you're looking to explore a new environment, create your own rental properties, or simply experience the thrill of the Tomarang Night Market, this expansion pack has something for everyone.
