Diablo 4 Season of the Construct: Patch Notes 1.3.0 and What's New

Get ready for the latest season of Diablo 4, Season of the Construct, which is set to begin on January 23. Ahead of its launch, Blizzard has revealed the patch notes for the upcoming season, detailing class balancing, endgame changes, and bug fixes. In this article, we'll break down the most notable additions and changes coming with patch 1.3.0.

Class Changes

In Season of the Construct, all classes will receive some love with changes and reworks to abilities, items, and balances. Here are the most notable changes for each class:

All Classes

The Overpower feature will now only gain +1% damage per 1% of your Base and Bonus life when you have Fortify. Additionally, Ring of Starless Skies and Melted Heart of Selig have received changes, and new Unique items and Legendary Aspects have been added. Paingorger's Gauntlets are a new Unique item that marks an enemy you damage with a Non-Basic Skill for three seconds, dealing 100-200% increased damage to affected enemies.

Barbarian

The Barbarian class will see significant changes, including a massive 900% base damage increase for Charge. Enhanced Charge terrain impact damage will now be 1.5, and Power Charge no longer requires terrain impact to reduce its cooldown. Key Passives, such as Walking Arsenal, have received buffs, and several items and Aspects have seen changes.

Druid

Druids will see several skills get reworks, including Enhanced Rabies, which will now increase damage by 60%. Bestial Rampage and Thick Hide will also see changes, and Spirit Boons will receive buffs. The Druid class will also get a new Unique item, Unsung Ascetic's Wraps, and a new Virulent Aspect.

Necromancer

Necromancers will see changes to Bone Skills, Book of the Dead, and Minion and Golem elements. The Shattered Spirits Aspect is a new Offensive Aspect that works with Bone Spirit to launch 18 Bone Splinters in all directions, dealing damage and generating Essence per enemy hit. The Mutilator Plate Unique is a new item that grants the Necromancer a chance to form a Blood Orb.

Rogue

Rogues will see ranged builds get love with buffs to Rain of Arrows, Forceful Arrow, and Penetrating Shot. The Precision Key Passive is getting a rework, and the Beastfall Boots Unique item will see Rogue's next Core Skill after an ultimate Skill consume all their Energy and deal increased damage.

Sorcerer

Sorcerers will see the least amount of changes, with the main skills getting changes being Ball Lightning, Blizzard, and Lightning Spear. The Starfall Coronet Unique item will see Meteor get a second charge and an increased cooldown, and the Aspect of Shredding Blades will grant 15-25% Vulnerable Damage.

Endgame Activities

Endgame activities, such as Helltides, will see significant changes, including Helltides now being around for 55 minutes with a 5-minute gap in between. Distilled Fear will now be a guaranteed drop from Nightmare Dungeons of Tier 30 or higher, and the Purified Sigil reward will now always grant a Sigil 1 tier higher than the one completed.

Notable Changes and Quality of Life Improvements

Season of the Construct will see several changes and quality-of-life additions, including the introduction of WASD movement, Material caps increasing to 999,999, and World Tier 3 and 4 World Boss Weekly Caches dropping Uniques. Uber Uniques can now be unlocked as transmogs, and plenty more. Item Power changes will also be implemented, dropping from World Bosses and Nightmare Dungeons.

Bug Fixes
