What to Expect from WoW Classic: Season of Discovery Phase 2

Phase 2 brings a host of exciting updates, including a level cap increase, new Runes, a new capstone raid, and more. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:

Level Cap Increase to 40

The level cap for Season of Discovery will increase to 40, giving players access to new spells, abilities, zones, and dungeons. This change is designed to provide a more leisurely pace for players, allowing them to enjoy the game without feeling rushed.

New Runes Add More Variety

The Rune Engraving system, introduced in Season of Discovery, will see new additions in Phase 2. Players can expect to find more Runes that add new abilities and playstyles to the game. The new Runes will also be attached to two new slots, belts and boots.

One of the new Runes, Melee Specialist, will enhance the melee-focused Hunter playstyle, while another will add the much-loved ability, Rallying Cry, for Warriors.

Gnomeregan: The New Capstone Raid

Gnomeregan, a classic WoW dungeon, will become the new capstone raid in Phase 2. The raid will feature new mechanics, items, and a world buff. Players can expect a challenging experience, with six bosses to defeat at level 40.

New World PvP: Stranglethorn Vale and The Blood Moon

For PvP players, Phase 2 brings a new world PvP activity, The Blood Moon, set in Stranglethorn Vale. The event will occur every three hours, with players earning currency by killing opponents. The event will have a unique twist: players in raid groups will be punished by the game, adding an extra layer of strategy to the experience.

Professions Updates

Professions will see a major update in Phase 2, with around 20 new recipes added to the game. Players will have access to new epic questlines, materials, and an increased Profession skill cap, which will become 225.

Increased EXP for Phase 1 Content
