Fortnite Week 5 Resistance Quest: Planting Wiretaps in IO Bases

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has just dropped its Week 5 update, and with it comes a new Resistance quest that's sure to put your skills to the test. This time, you'll need to plant wiretaps in hard-to-spot locations within IO bases to progress through the questline. Don't worry, we've got you covered – we'll show you exactly where to place these devices and how to get the job done quickly.

Wiretap Locations in Fortnite

There are only three locations to plant wiretaps, and they're all relatively close to each other. To help you visualize, take a look at the screenshot below:

Location 1: Command Cavern

The first wiretap can be found next to the cellular tower on the west side of Command Cavern's mountain. Look for the hologram, and you'll know exactly where to place the device.

Location 2: The Fortress

From Command Cavern, make your way to The Fortress, where you'll find the next wiretap location. It's situated directly in front of the massive mobile drill. You can't miss it!

Location 3: IO Outpost (Loot Lake)

The final wiretap needs to be placed at an IO outpost on the right side of its garage area, located on the opposite side of Loot Lake. Once again, look for the hologram to ensure you're in the right spot.
