How to Catch Daedream in Palworld: A Comprehensive Guide

Looking for a Pokémon-like experience with a twist? Palworld offers an exciting adventure with unique creatures like Daedream, a devilishly adorable dark Pal that chases your dreams.

What is Palworld?

Palworld is an Ark-style survival game that expands on the monster catcher trope, offering a thrilling experience that keeps on giving. To get started, create your character, find your first Pal sphere, and hurl it at any Pal you spot in the wild. However, not all Pals spawn in the same place and at the same time of day. Some prefer basking in the sun, while others lurk in the shadows under the moonlight.

How to Catch Daedream in Palworld

Daedream is a Dark-type Pal that only spawns at night in the wild and inside dungeons at any time of day in Palworld. To catch Daedream, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Plateau of New Beginnings or the Grassy Behemoth Hills at night.
  2. Look for Daedream's glowing galaxy-purple hair, making it easy to spot.
  3. If you prefer exploring during the day, try your luck at one of the dungeons, which resemble caves on mountainsides.

Once you've caught Daedream, you can unlock and craft the Daedream's Necklace to let it stay near you without summoning it. This means you can have two Pals fighting for you at all times.

Crafting Daedream's Necklace

To craft the necklace, you'll need to:

  1. Reach level 8 and unlock the Technology menu.
  2. Craft the necklace on a Pal Gear Workbench using 5 Leather, 10 Fiber, and 10 Paldium Fragments.

Is Daedream Good in Palworld?

Daedream is an excellent starting Pal in Palworld. It's original, cute, and a combat champion capable of slinging ranged attacks. While it may not be the best base worker, its killer typing deals extra damage to most low-level Pals you'll encounter.

The Daedream's Necklace gives you an upper hand in any encounter, especially in the early stages. Even if your allied Pals are down, Daedream shoots passively while keeping you untouchable to enemies.
