Mastering Farming in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
Get the most out of your farming experience in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life with our comprehensive guide. Learn about the unique farming mechanics, crop values, hybrid seeds, and more.
Understanding the Farming Mechanics
In A Wonderful Life, the farming mechanics have been revamped from the original game. Players can farm a select group of crops throughout each season, which only lasts 10 days. This requires careful planning and tracking of crop planting and harvesting times to ensure maximum yield and value.
Farming Locations
There are three total farming plots available in A Wonderful Life. The first two are accessible from the start of Chapter 1, while the third, Amazing farming area with the highest soil quality can be purchased for 60,000G in Chapter 2.
Fertilizer and Crop Care
To get the best value for your crops, fertilizer is essential. You can purchase fertilizer from Vesta's farm or make it yourself using the Fertilizer Maker, which can be purchased from the Ledger for 45,000G.
Fertilizer Spreaders
There are three Fertilizer Spreaders available in A Wonderful Life, each costing 60,000G. While the cost may seem steep, they significantly speed up crop care, making them a worthwhile investment.
Field Types and Soil Quality
A Wonderful Life features three farming areas with varying soil quality. The Low Quality Field is suitable for early trees and crops, while the Normal Quality Field supports most early-game crops. The Amazing Field, available for purchase, supports all types of seeds in the game.
Getting the Free Seed Maker
Instead of buying the expensive Seed Maker Facility, you can get one for free by befriending Daryl in Year One. This can be done by offering him fossils from the Dig Site and reaching a certain level of friendship.
Seeds and Crop Values
Visit Vesta's Farm to purchase seeds for each season. Note that Vesta only sells seeds at a B quality, but they are affordable and available immediately.
