Pokémon Go Rowlet Community Day 2024: Everything You Need to Know

Niantic has confirmed the details for the first Pokémon Go Community Day of 2024, which will feature the owl Pokémon Rowlet, including the debut of Shiny Rowlet. The event is set to take place on January 6, 2024, and will offer a variety of bonuses, rewards, and exclusive activities for trainers to enjoy.

When is Pokémon Go Rowlet Community Day?

The Rowlet Community Day will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. After the initial event, trainers can participate in special bonus raid battles from 5 PM to 10 PM local time.

All Event Bonuses for Pokémon Go Rowlet Community Day

During the event, trainers can look forward to the following bonuses:

Triple Stardust for catching Pokémon
Double candy for catching Pokémon
Double chance for Candy XL for trainers over level 31
Lure Modules will last for three hours
Incense activated during the event will last 3 hours, including Daily Adventure Incense
There will be a surprise for taking snapshots during Community Day
Trainers will be able to make one additional Special Trade (from 2 PM to 10 PM)
Trades will cost half as much Stardust (from 2 PM to 10 PM)

Featured Decidueye Attack for Rowlet Community Day

If trainers evolve Dartrix into Decidueye during the event, it will learn the special Frenzy Plant Charged Attack, which has a power of 100 for both trainer battles and use in gyms and raids. Additionally, Decidueye will gain the ability to learn the Spirit Shackle charged attack, which has a power of 50 in trainer battles and can lower the opposing Pokémon's defense.

Rowlet Community Day Special Research Story

Trainers will have the option to purchase access to an event-exclusive Community Day Special Research story for $1 USD (or local equivalent). The details of the special research story are not yet known.

Rowlet Community Day Field Research

The January 2024 Community Day will feature themed Field Research tasks, which will include rewards like Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more chances to encounter Rowlet.

Bonus Raid Battles After Pokémon Go Rowlet Community Day

After the Community Day event ends, trainers can participate in special four-star raid battles featuring Dartrix, the evolved version of Rowlet. These raids will take place from 5 PM to 10 PM local time, and trainers will not be able to access them using remote raid passes.

Pokémon Go Rowlet Community Day Bundles, Stickers, & Showcases

In addition to the event bonuses and activities, trainers can purchase event bundles, including an Ultra Community Day Box for $9.99 USD (or local equivalent), which includes 120 Ultra Balls, 15 Silver Pinap Berries, 6 incubators, and one Incense. The in-game shop will also feature community day bundles, event-themed stickers, and special Showcases at PokéStops.
