Pokémon GO Dazzling Dream Event: Dates, Featured Pokémon, and More

If you thought the excitement of Pokémon GO's New Year's Event was over, think again. Niantic has just announced the Dazzling Dream event, featuring an array of adorable fairy-type Pokémon that are sure to make the winter months a little brighter.

When is the Pokémon GO Dazzling Dream Event?

The Dazzling Dream event will take place from Saturday, January 13, 10 AM local time to Tuesday, January 16, 8 PM local time.

Featured Wild Encounter Pokémon

During the event, several fairy-type Pokémon will be more frequently encountered in the wild. These include:

• Clefairy
• Jigglypuff
• Marill
• Snubbull
• Cottonee
• Flabebe (see details below)
• Spritzee
• Swirlix
• Dedenne
• Cutiefly
• Morelull

Notably, all of these Pokémon can be shiny, except Flabebe.

Flabebe Colors and Regions

Flabebe with different colored flowers will appear in different regions. These include:

• Europe, Middle East, and Africa: Red Flower Flabebe
• Asia-Pacific: Blue Flower Flabebe
• Americas: Yellow Flower Flabebe

Lucky trainers may also encounter White Flower Flabebe or Orange Flower Flabebe, regardless of their region. Togetic may also make an appearance, with a slightly boosted chance of encounter.

Dazzling Dream Event Bonuses

During the event, trainers will receive double Stardust for catching and hatching Pokémon.

Pokémon Hatching from Eggs

The following Pokémon will hatch from 7 KM eggs during the event:

• Togepi
• Spritzee
• Swirlix
• Cutiefly

All of these Pokémon can be shiny, and Cutiefly has a boosted Shiny chance when hatching from eggs.

Field Research

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available, leading to encounters with the following Pokémon:

• Alolan Vulpix
• Spritzee
• Swirlix
• Cutiefly

Some trainers may also encounter Mawile and Carbink while completing Field Research tasks. Except for Carbink, each of these Pokémon has a shiny form available in Pokémon GO.

Paid Timed Research

Pokémon GO is offering an event-exclusive Paid Timed Research for the Dazzling Dream event, costing $2 USD (or local equivalent). Rewards include:

• Two Premium Battle Passes
• XP
• Stardust
• Two Star Pieces
• Encounters with event-themed Pokémon

The Paid Timed Research expires at the end of the event and must be completed before 8 PM local time on Tuesday, January 16.

New Avatar Items and Collection Challenges

The Dazzling Dream event will feature special Collection Challenges, offering XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Carbink as rewards. Additionally, a new avatar item, the Cutiefly Mask, will be available in the in-game shop.
