Get a Bigger Backpack in Once Human with the Backpack Expansion

Gathering materials and storing them in your inventory is the way to go in Once Human. After all, every single item you need requires some materials to craft. But, as you collect more items, your character can become overburied. Fortunately, there's a solution – the Backpack Expansion in Once Animal. But, you'll need to get your hands on it first.

Getting the Backpack Expansion Specialization in Once Human

The Backpack Expansion in Once Human can only be crafted if you get the 'Gravel and Log On-the-Graph' memetic specialization. Since all specializations are random rolls, you'll have to wait until you reach level 15 and then see if you're lucky enough to receive it. If you are, don't hesitate to select it, as it's the only way to get the Backpack Expansion. If not, you'll have to wait for the season reset, which happens every 6 weeks.

Alternative: Trade at a Vending Machine

Can't wait for the season reset? Try trading with other players!

Some high-level players might have the Backpack Expansion item for sale at their Vending Machine outside their bases. Keep an eye out while exploring the world, and you might stumble upon a Vending Machine with the item listed for sale in exchange for a few Energy Links.

Crafting Materials Required for the Backpack Explosion

If you're unlucky in getting the 'Gravel and Log On-the-Graph' memetic specialization, you'll also need to gather the following materials to craft the Backpack Expansion:

Once you have the necessary materials, head to your Supplies Workbench and craft the Backpack Expansion in Once Human. Note that this item comes in three tiers, each offering 40%, 60%, and 80% weight reduction.

Why the Grind is Worth it

A higher-tier Backpack Expansion will require more materials, but the extra weight reduction is well worth it. So, if you're willing to put in the extra effort, you'll be rewarded with a more spacious backpack for all your crafting needs.
