Unlocking Fast Travel Points in Palworld: A Comprehensive Guide
Palworld, the latest release from Pocketpair, boasts an enormous map with diverse biomes, each holding secrets waiting to be uncovered. However, exploring these regions can be a challenge before unlocking fast travel points. Fortunately, we've discovered a strategy to help you unlock these access points quickly.
Understanding Respawn Points in Palworld
As of version V0.1.2.0 of Palworld, when your character fully dies, you get an overhead view of the whole map, allowing you to choose from a selection of respawn points and home bases. The premade respawn locations are spread out throughout the map, with fast travel points within a relatively close distance of each one.
Here are the premade respawn points, listed from bottom left to top left:
- Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach
- Sea Breeze Archipelago Reef
- Windswept Hills Flying Fish Coast
- Windswept Hills Plateau of Beginnings (Best tutorial starting spot)
- Marsh Island
- Eastern Wild Island
- Ice Wind Island
- Forgotten Island
Best Respawn Strategy for Unlocking Fast Travel Points
To unlock fast travel points quickly, follow these simple steps:
- Build a home base
- Take lethal damage from any source and fully 'die'
- Select any of the predetermined respawn points and spawn there
- Locate the nearest Fast Travel beacon (they'll be easily visible if you get up high)
- Travel to the Fast Travel beacon and activate it
- From here, head back to your home base
- Rinse and repeat with every predetermined respawn location
Additional Tips:
- Make sure your difficulty setting is low enough to keep Pals after dying.
- Toggle the option to keep inventory after death to ensure you have everything you need.
- For players in servers or solo sessions with the Hard difficulty enabled, make sure to retrieve your items and Pals after respawning.
Limitations of the Respawn Strategy
The only areas in Palworld where these respawn points don't give you a 'great' starting location are the Desert Region in the central northern area of the map and the volcanic region in the far east of the map. However, these areas are best avoided until you reach level 30.
