How to Find and Feed a Capybara in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Thanks to the Cozy Edition of Disney Dreamlight Valley, players received a complimentary Capybara. While the logistics of delivering these adorable creatures to every player's mailbox might be mind-boggling, we'll focus on helping you find and feed a wild Capybara in the game.
A Brief Introduction to Capybaras in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley is home to a diverse range of critters, including squirrels, raccoons, and even cobras. However, one of the latest additions to the game is the Capybara. Despite being a meme sensation on the internet, Capybaras are undeniably cute in this Disney farming simulator.
Where to Find a Capybara in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Capybaras can be found across the Wild Grove in the A Rift in Time expansion. Specifically, you can look for them in The Grasslands, The Grove, and The Promenade. While The Promenade requires unlocking with Mist, The Grasslands will be accessible after progressing through the expansion's main questline.
Capybaras seem to be exclusive to the A Rift in Time expansion, so you might not find them in the regular Valley.Alternatively, you can travel to Eternity Isle and search for the northern green areas on the map. However, you won't find any Capybaras in The Docks, The Overlook, The Ruins, or The Courtyard.
Approaching and Feeding a Capybara
One of the best things about Capybaras is their friendly nature. Unlike monkeys and cobras, they won't challenge you or require any special actions. Simply approach them directly, and they'll stand still, locking eyes with you.
When you're ready to feed a Capybara, make sure you have their favorite food – Bamboo. You can collect Bamboo in The Wild Grove, particularly in the Grassland area.
What Are a Capybara's Favorite Food in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
While Bamboo is the Capybara's go-to food, they're not picky eaters. If you don't have any Bamboo, you can try offering them other meals, such as:
- Yam
- Melons
- Almonds
- Cinnamon
Keep in mind that these alternatives might not elicit the same level of enthusiasm as Bamboo, but Capybaras will still appreciate the gesture.
