Unlocking Fast Travel in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Exploring the vast world of Pandora in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora can be a thrilling experience, but sometimes, traversing the terrain on foot or by mount may not be the fastest way to reach your destination.
What is Fast Travel and How Does it Work?
Fast travel is a convenient feature in the game that allows you to quickly move from one location to another, saving you time and energy. However, before you can fast travel to a specific location, you need to have visited or completed a task at that location to unlock it for fast travel.
Locations Eligible for Fast Travel
Not all locations on the map are eligible for fast travel. You can only fast travel to named places such as RDA facilities, Field Bases, and Na'vi Camps. Areas like Bellsprigs, Computer Terminals, or Tarsyu Saplings do not have this option.
How to Unlock Fast Travel in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Visit or complete a task at the location you want to fast travel to.
- Open the map and highlight the location you want to travel to.
- Hold the designated button to initiate fast travel:
- PC: 'F' button on the keyboard
- PlayStation: 'Square' button
- Xbox: 'X' button
Cost of Fast Travel
Using fast travel will save you 20% of your energy. However, if you're running low on energy, you may need to eat food to replenish it after fast traveling.
Unlocking Free Fast Travel
There is a way to unlock free fast travel, which eliminates the energy cost. To do this, you need to progress to the third region (Clouded Forest) and unlock the Free Fast Travel Ancestor Skill at the Cascading Stones in the Boulderlands biome. This skill allows you to fast travel without incurring any energy costs.
Having the Free Fast Travel Ancestor Skill makes it easier to explore specific areas for materials, ingredients, or spare parts without worrying about energy costs.Exploration Tips
While fast travel is convenient, exploring Pandora on foot can lead to exciting discoveries and quests. We recommend taking the time to explore your surroundings, as you might stumble upon unique missions and experiences that deviate from the main campaign.
