Hogwarts Legacy: Uncovering the Mystery of the Boarded-Up Door in Hogsmeade

Hogwarts Legacy is full of secrets waiting to be uncovered as you explore the vast highlands. One of the mysteries involves a boarded-up door in Hogsmeade that conceals a secret location and can only be accessed by a select few. In this article, we'll delve into the details of the boarded door at Hogsmeade in Hogwarts Legacy and guide you on how to unlock it.

Why is There a Boarded Door in Hogsmeade?

The boarded door at Hogsmeade is connected to a quest in Hogwarts Legacy, and you can only unlock that quest later in the game. To access the quest, you must have completed the third trial in the main story of Hogwarts Legacy. After that, you'll need to find a house elf named Penny, who will give you the quest called Minding Your Own Business.

Note: The Minding Your Own Business quest is exclusive to PlayStation players. If you're playing Hogwarts Legacy on a different console or PC, this quest won't be available to you.

Location of the Boarded Door

You can find the boarded door in the southeast of Hogsmeade, near the South Hogsmeade Floo Flame fast travel point. However, only players who have purchased the game on PS4 and PS5 can access this area. Those playing on PC, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox won't be able to access this area.

How to Access Hogsmeade's Boarded Door in Hogwarts Legacy

Gaining access to the boarded door takes some time. After completing the third trial, you'll be able to find a house elf named Penny standing in front of the shop. Talk to her, and she'll start a PlayStation-exclusive quest called Minding Your Own Business. During this quest, you'll be tasked with purchasing a shop and clearing out the ghost within it.

  1. Complete the third trial in the main story of Hogwarts Legacy.
  2. Find Penny, the house elf, in front of the shop.
  3. Start the Minding Your Own Business quest.
  4. Purchase the shop and clear out the ghost within it.

Tip: The Minding Your Own Business quest is one of the longest quests in Hogwarts Legacy. Once you've completed it, you'll end up with a shop that Penny runs. You can use this shop to sell your gear for a higher price than at other shops.
