Exploring Pandora with Friends: A Guide to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora's Co-op Mode
Ubisoft's highly anticipated game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, has finally been released, and fans are eager to dive into the world of Pandora. But what about playing with friends? Can you team up with fellow Na'vi warriors and explore the vast open world together?
The Story of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you create your own Na'vi character, who has been kidnapped by humans and forced to adapt to a new way of life. As you awaken to your true identity, you must relearn the ways of your people and work to heal your homeland from the damage caused by human settlers. Thankfully, you don't have to go it alone.
Is Crossplay Available for Frontiers of Pandora?
According to Ubisoft, crossplay is available for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, enabling players across different platforms to team up and play together. Crossplay is enabled by default, and there are no limitations on which platforms it applies to. However, if you prefer to play solo, you can also disable the crossplay feature in the game's settings.
Another great feature of the game is automatic cross-progression for all platforms. As long as you log into your Ubisoft account, you can pick up where you left off on any platform. However, note that some in-game content may not transfer due to platform-specific items being available.
Co-op Mode in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
While you can't team up with large groups of friends, you can still play co-op with one other player in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Only one other player can join you in the game, but having that one partner will make gameplay a bit easier. Co-op mode becomes available once you complete the The Aranahe Clan quest and meet Etuwa.
To create a co-op session, you'll need the following:
- A stable internet connection
- Both players will need either PlayStation Plus, Xbox Game Pass Core, or Ultimate to access co-op features
- Be friends on the platform friend list
To invite a friend to a co-op session, simply go to the Co-op menu, select Friends Online, and choose the friend you want to play with. This is also where you can cancel a co-op session. Note that players without one of the required subscriptions (including PC users) will not be able to access co-op mode.
Get ready to explore Pandora with your friends and take on the challenges of the game together!
The Aranahe Clan quest completion and meeting Etuwa are required to unlock co-op mode.Related: Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora On Xbox Game Pass
