Diablo 4's Season 3 is just around the corner, and the developers have finally announced when the next Developer Update livestream will take place, shedding light on what's to come for the action RPG.
How to Watch the Diablo 4 Season 3 Livestream
The Diablo 4 Season 3 Developer Update live stream will air on Thursday, and will be available to watch on the official Diablo 4 Twitch and YouTube channels. The live stream will be hosted by associate director of community Adam Fletcher, game design manager Daniel Tanguay, quest designer Madeleine James, and lead class designer Adam Jackson.

New Seasonal Content
Season of the Construct will bring several new pieces of seasonal content for players to sink their teeth into, including a new Companion and Vault dungeons.
Companions:** The Seneschal Companion will act as the season-borrowed power, allowing players to create a unique combat companion with different combinations of Governing and Tuning Stones.
Vaults:** A new dungeon type that will focus on traps and hazards, requiring players to avoid obstacles while making their way through and retaining the Zoltun's Warding buff to open Wardwoven Chests for rewards like Stone and Legendary items.
Arcane Tremors:** A new mechanic that will see players bouncing between different activities in the game while progressing.
The Gauntlet
The Gauntlet is a leaderboard-style mode coming soon, offering a new weekly Dungeon type with fixed affixes and layouts for fair competition, and giving players the chance to show off their builds and work towards earning a spot on the leaderboards.
Rewards:** Players can earn rewards like cosmetics, Caches, and a place in the Hall of the Ancients for top performers.
Balance Changes
The Season of the Construct will bring big balance changes to each class, with the full patch notes to be released on an unknown date . Here are some of the key changes:
- Barbarian:** Charge ability deal more baseline damage, and Key Passives like Walking Arsenal will get buffs.
- Sorcerer:** Lightning Spear Crits will make enemies Vulnerable, and Meteor will get buffs to complement the new Unique item, Starfall Coronet.
- Necromancer:** The Blood and Iron Golem attack will now Cleave, and Bone Spirit will get a buff and rework of some of its Aspects.
- Rogue:** Underused Skills will get buffs, and the Key Passive Precision will get a rework. Uniques like Windforce, Skyhunter, and Eaglehorn will also get updates.
Future Balancing Patches
The developers have explained their approach to future balancing patches and changes, which includes two planned balance changes per season, one at the beginning and one towards the middle of the season. New Legendaries and Uniques will also be added to the game with each season launch.
Quality of Life Improvements
The Season of the Construct will bring some quality-of-life improvements, including:
- WASD movement
- Skill Tree Re-spec mode
- Gold Trading UI updates
- Higher item scaling in World Tier 4
- Increased drop rates for endgame boss summoning materials
- Changes to Helltides, making them a more permanent fixture in the game
- Changes to the Seasonal Journey, including removal of PvP objectives, new rewards, and three new Seasonal Blessings
