Activision Blizzard has released the full patch notes for Call of Duty: MW3 Season 2, and it's packed with exciting new content for the community to engage with.
What to Expect in Season 2
Season 2 brings a significant update to the game, with new challenges, weapons, and game modes to keep players entertained. From Battle Royale to Multiplayer, Zombies Mode, and more, there's something for everyone in this new season.
New Maps
Four new maps are joining the roster for 6v6 matches, including three original maps: Stash House, Vista, and Departures. Das Haus, a map from Call of Duty Vanguard, is also returning with some slight reworks. Operation Tin Man is a new map for War Mode, featuring a multi-level construction site with objective-based gameplay.
New Game Modes
Call of Duty: MW3 Season 2 introduces five new game modes:
- Hordepoint: Capture and hold an objective against waves of zombies.
- Team Gun Game: Work together as a team to progress through weapons and win.
- Snipers Only: Engage in high-stakes sniper battles using only high-powered rifles.
- Juggermosh: Play Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Domination with Juggernaut on.
- Bounty: Hunt down a constantly changing target enemy.
New Weapons
Get ready to gear up with new weapons, including:
- BP50 Assault Rifle
- RAM-9 Submachine Gun
- SOA Subverter Battle Rifle (available later in the season)
- Soulrender melee weapon (available later in the season)
New Aftermarket Parts
Explore new Aftermarket Parts, including accessories for the Holger 26, Longbow, Holger 556, and more.
New Perk: Ninja Vest
Become a silenced specialist with the Ninja Vest Perk, reducing the sound you make and giving you an edge in Multiplayer Modes.
New Operators & Events
Expect new Operators and Events throughout the season, including Rick Grimes and Michonne. More Operators will be added as the season progresses.
Gameplay Updates
Season 2 brings several gameplay updates, including:
- ADS idle sway: A slight delay in weapon movement when aiming down sights.
- Weapon hipfire: Now aligned exactly with the crosshair.
- Bug fixes: Addressing every element of the game, including edge cases and feedback from players.
Ranked Play & Zombies Mode
Ranked Play continues with tweaks to make it more engaging, including content restrictions and skill rating adjustments. Zombies Mode sees updates to Wonder Weapons and ammo drop rates, as well as a brand new story mission and Dark Aether Rift.
