Black Myth Wukong: How to Complete the Drunk Pig (Yellow-Robed Squire) Quest

Black Myth Wukong offers a range of engaging characters throughout its chapters, each presenting unique quests that add to the game's complexity. One such quest is the Drunk Pig (Yellow-Robed Squire) quest, found in Chapter 2, which is the longest chapter in the game. This guide will walk you through how to locate the Drunk Pig and complete the quest in Black Myth Wukong.

Locating the Drunk Pig in Black Myth Wukong

To find the Drunk Pig, head northeast from the Rockrest Flat Keeper's Shrine. When you arrive at the shrine, you'll see caves to the west, stairs to the east, the Stone Vanguard boss encounter to the northwest, and the Drunk Pig to the northeast.

The path to the Drunk Pig is usually blocked by a Spearbone enemy and a contraption that can be destroyed with a melee attack. Once you've cleared the obstacles, you'll find the Drunk Pig sitting beside a large rock, surrounded by stone-made wine bottles.

Obtaining the Sobering Stone for the Drunk Pig

During your first interaction with the Drunk Pig, he'll ask you to give him something to sober up. However, this conversation doesn't provide hints on what item you need to deliver or where to find it. This initial conversation starts the Drunk Pig quest in Black Myth Wukong.

To obtain the Sobering Stone, head to the location between Rockrest Flat and the Squall Hideout, where you'll find an NPC called Man-In-Stone. Complete his quest to unlock him as a vendor who can sell you the Sobering Stone.

Delivering the Sobering Stone

After completing the Man-in-Stone quest, rest at a nearby shrine and return to the vendor. He'll now sell you the Sobering Stone, which you can give to the Drunk Pig to help him sober up.

Once you've delivered the item, the Drunk Pig will discuss feasting on meat and mention the Temple of Crouching Tiger, which is worth exploring.

Locating the Drunk Pig at the Temple of Crouching Tiger

After resting at the Keeper's Shrine, the Drunk Pig will move from his initial location to the Temple of Crouching Tiger. You'll find him leaning against a wall near the top stairs leading to the boss.

A brief conversation will reveal that he needs the Jade Lotus plant, which can be found in water areas throughout Black Myth Wukong. If you already have a Jade Lotus, you can continue the quest without having to collect one.

Showdown with the Yellow-Robed Squire

Resting at the nearby Keeper's Shrine will cause the Drunk Pig to return to his original location. To continue the questline, head back to the starting point where you found the Drunk Pig.

There, you'll find a large door that was previously inaccessible. This door now reveals that the Drunk Pig's name is Yellow-Robed Squire, and this NPC transforms into a boss.

Unlocking the Secret Area Kingdom of Sahali

Defeating the Yellow-Robed Squire triggers a cutscene that unlocks the secret area Kingdom of Sahali in Black Myth Wukong. This location holds a unique boss called Fuban. Defeating Fuban unlocks a powerful vessel that you can use in the game.
