Unlocking the Chapter 4 Secret Area in Black Myth Wukong

Location of Purple Cloud Mountain in Black Myth Wukong (Chapter 4 Secret Area)

To access the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area, start by reaching the 'Court of Illuminations' Keeper's Shrine in the Temple of the Yellow Flower. This is the last Keeper's Shrine found just before the Hundred-Eyed Daoist boss encounter. Progress through Chapter 4 naturally to reach the Temple of the Yellow Flower.

Venom Daoist First Encounter

Before entering the secret area, ensure you've encountered the Venom Daoist boss earlier in Chapter 4 near the Poll of Shattered Jade Keeper's Shrine in Webbed Hollow. Take the road on the right, where you'll find a Cocoon that talks back to your character.

Break the Cocoon to trigger the first Venom Daoist boss fight in Chapter 4 of Black Myth Wukong. Defeating this boss is crucial for unlocking the secret area.

Venom Daoist Second Encounter

From the Court of Illuminations Keeper's Shrine, turn right and head straight until you come to a curly road that leads up. Take the slope to the left to enter the next area. As you descend, you'll trigger the second Venom Daoist boss encounter.

Venom Daoist Boss Fight

The second encounter with Venom Daoist is more aggressive, with a wider range of melee slash attacks and swift dashes. After depleting his health to approximately 50%, a cutscene will trigger, and he'll lose his arm, resetting his health to 100%.

Using the Resolute Counterflow and Skyfall Strike skills can make this fight easier. After defeating Venom Daoist, he'll point toward a wall and utter the words Purple Cloud Mountains before dying.

During the cutscene, your character will reach for the wall and enter it, granting access to the Chapter 4 Secret Area, the Purple Cloud Mountain.
