Catching Charcadet and Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Charcadet and Ceruledge are two unique Pokémon that can be caught in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Charcadet, the starter Pokémon, is a rare find, and if you have the Violet version, it evolves into Ceruledge, a powerful Ghost and Fire-type Pokémon.
Charcadet's Evolution and Ceruledge's Stats
When Charcadet evolves into Ceruledge in the Violet version, its stats are:
- 75 HP
- 80 Defense
- 100 Special Defense
- 125 Attack
- 85 Speed
As you can see, Ceruledge's Attack is its strongest attribute, but its Speed is somewhat lacking. This is where the right nature can make all the difference.
The Best Nature for Charcadet and Ceruledge
The best natures for Charcadet and Ceruledge are Adamant and Jolly. These natures will help Ceruledge's Attack and Speed, respectively.
Adamant: Boosts Attack but lowers Special Attack. This is an excellent choice if you want Ceruledge to deal massive damage.
Jolly: Boosts Speed but lowers Special Attack. This is a good option if you want Ceruledge to be faster and strike first.
Personally, I lean towards using Adamant, as I prefer Ceruledge to deal significant damage rather than being the first to hit. However, the choice ultimately depends on your playstyle.
Ceruledge's Best Moves in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Ceruledge has two ability options: Flash Fire and Weak Armor. Flash Fire provides a 50% bonus to Ceruledge's Fire attacks if swapped in on an enemy Fire attack, while Weak Armor increases Ceruledge's Speed but lowers its Defense.
Ceruledge can also learn a wide range of beneficial physical moves, including:
- Bitter Blade
- Psycho Cut
- Swords Dance
- Will O' Wisp
- Shadow Sneak
- Solar Blade
- Dragon Claw
- Close Combat
- Poison Jab
- X-Scissor
- Shadow Claw
- Iron Head
- Phantom Force
Our recommended set is Bitter Blade, Swords Dance, Phantom Force, and Close Combat for a well-rounded Ceruledge that can take on various opponents.
