How to Complete the Investigate the Suspicious Toys Quest in Baldur's Gate 3
When you first enter the world of Baldur's Gate, you'll encounter a group of refugees in need of help. One man, named Arfur Gregorio, is particularly anxious about the situation in his basement. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to complete the Investigate the Suspicious Toys quest in Baldur's Gate 3.
The Quest Begins
The quest starts when you allow refugees to stay in Arfur Gregorio's house. However, you'll soon discover that something is amiss in his basement. To proceed, you'll need to navigate through the basement, avoiding deadly traps and tripwires.
Tip: Make sure you have plenty of trap disarmament tools and a character with high perception to spot these traps. Use one character to scope out a suspicious area first, and consider bringing a character with high charisma for future persuasion checks.
Discovering the Plot
After navigating through the basement, you'll find a small chest containing a note that reveals Arfur Gregorio is being blackmailed into creating explosive toys for the refugees. Your next objective is to track down where these toys have been shipped to in Baldur's Gate.
Tracking Down the Toys
The toys are located in the Requisitioned Barn, southeast of Arfur Gregorio's mansion. You can either sneak into the barn or convince the guard to let you in by passing a Persuasion check. Once inside, search for the toys in the far back of the barn, and use your skills to disarm the crate.
Confronting Arfur Gregorio
After disarming the crate, you'll need to track down Arfur Gregorio to learn why he made the explosive toys. He can be found in the front area of Baldur's Gate, in the Sharess' Caress, next to the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing. You can choose to accept his offer of gold to forget the situation or continue investigating.
Tip: Use an Intimidation Skill Check to force Arfur to reveal the truth, and you'll gain a pass to the lower cities of Baldur's Gate.
The Final Confrontation
Arfur Gregorio will point you in the direction of Felogyr's Fireworks, a location where the explosive toys were manufactured. To access the building, use the password Arfur provided, and you'll be invited to the top floor. Here, you can either navigate through the building, avoiding combat, or engage in a fight to clear out the workshop.
Tip: Consider sneaking into the third floor and stealing from Tomboldt the Pallid to gain knowledge about the explosives they've placed underneath the Iron Thorne.

Who is Arfur Gregorio?
Arfur Gregorio is a mansion owner who becomes embroiled in a dispute with refugees. Depending on the player's actions, Arfur can be found at Sharess' Caress, after an argument with the refugees.
