How to Complete the Help the Hag Survivors Quest in Baldur's Gate 3

In the vast world of Baldur's Gate 3, players will encounter various types of monsters, including the deadly Hag. A quest that revolves around these creatures is the Help the Hag Survivors quest, which can be initiated in the Lower Cities. This guide will walk you through the steps to complete the quest and find Adrielle in BG3.

Starting the Quest: Help the Hag Survivors

To begin the quest, locate the Anti-Hag Support Group poster at coordinates (X:125, Y:-70) in the Lower City. You can also find it near the Felogyr's Fireworks building, close to Sorcerous Sundries. Interacting with the poster will initiate the quest and lead you to the Barren's Coop.

Locating the Barren's Coop in Baldur's Gate 3

Make your way to the Barren's Coop at coordinates (X:45, Y:-114). However, upon arrival, you'll find the building locked. Use a Lockpicking Kit to gain entry.

Inside the Barren's Coop

Upon entering, your party will notice a letter to the right of the entrance. Read the letter to learn about the eviction of the premises and the wild events that have taken place. You can also inspect the table to the left of the entrance, where you'll find another letter mentioning Old Garlow's Place as a potential new location for the group.

Locating Old Garlow's Place in Baldur's Gate 3

Head east to find Old Garlow's Place, located southeast of Sorcerous Sundries. Similar to the Barren's Coop, the door will be locked. Use a Sleight of Hand check to pick the lock and gain entry.

Meeting with Adrielle and the Survivors

Upon entering the house, you'll find a group of survivors, including Adrielle, who will initially be hostile towards you. Introduce yourself and try to persuade them that you mean no harm. However, be prepared for combat, as the situation can escalate quickly.

Confronting the Disguised Red Cap

During the confrontation, you'll discover that Jatlo is a disguised Red Cap. Engage in combat and defeat the Red Cap to progress the quest.

Speaking with Mayrina and Acquiring Hag's Bane

After defeating Jatlo, speak with Mayrina, who will reveal her intentions to hunt down a Hag in the city. She'll enlist your help and provide you with valuable information on how to deal with Hags. You'll also have the opportunity to loot a safe containing useful weapons, including the recipe for Hag's Bane, which will be essential in your future encounter with Auntie Ethel.

Unlocking the Hag's Bane Recipe

Ensure that a party member reads the book The Hag's Bane to unlock the recipe for Hag's Bane. You can then use it at any time during your playthrough to aid you in your fight against Auntie Ethel.

Help the Hag Quest Bug

Some players may encounter a bug that prevents the quest from completing after defeating Auntie Ethel. If this occurs, try reloading the game and attempting to complete the quest again. Unfortunately, a proper fix has not been found yet.
