Farming Clearwater Jade in Genshin Impact: A Comprehensive Guide

With the introduction of the 4.4 update in Genshin Impact, players have been introduced to new characters, areas, and materials to collect. One of these new materials is Clearwater Jade, which is required to ascend Xianyun, the cloud retainer.

What is Clearwater Jade and Why Do I Need It?

Clearwater Jade is an ascension item that Xianyun requires to reach her full potential. If you've been lucky enough to obtain Xianyun through the wishing system, you'll need to know where and how to get this material.

How to Farm Clearwater Jades

To farm Clearwater Jades, you'll need a claymore-wielding character in your party. If you have Qiqi or Yanfei, they can use their passives to help locate each Clearwater Jade. Here are some additional tips to keep in mind:

• Clearwater Jade can be found on the backs of Jadestone Turtles. You can remove it without having to break it off.
• Some Clearwater Jades can only be collected after completing certain quests.
• Clearwater Jades will reset 48 hours after you've collected them. You can try fast traveling to the farthest point away from them to trigger an early respawn.

Where to Find Clearwater Jades

Clearwater Jades are located in the Chenyu Vale region north of Liyue. There are 71 Clearwater Jade locations in the wild, many of which are located near bodies of water, just on the shore. Here are some specific locations to check:

• The road in between the two locations
• Chizhang Wall and just North of the Chizhang Wall
• North of Mt. Lingmeng surrounding the crisscross bridges
• Teatree Slope and near the Statue of The Seven Northwest of the Teatree Slope

In addition to these locations, you can also buy 5x Clearwater Jade from Fengtai at Yilong Wharf.
