A Teapot to Call Home Quest in Genshin Impact: Step-by-Step Guide

A Teapot to Call Home is a world quest in Genshin Impact that was introduced in update 1.5. This quest is the gateway to getting access to the Serenitea Pot, the game's housebuilding feature, and marks the first meeting with Yanfei.

Starting the A Teapot to Call Home Quest

To start this mission, head over to Granny in Liyue, and she'll thank you for your efforts in helping the city and its people. She'll mention that she has a gift for you, but it requires some rare materials. Fortunately, she's already sent someone to search for these materials - Yanfei.

Accompanying Yanfei and Meeting Krosl the Merchant

When you agree to accompany Yanfei, she'll take you to the docks to meet a merchant named Krosl. Yanfei is searching for Smaragdus Jadeite, which Krosl had in his possession. However, Krosl used the materials to create hairpins that he rented to Zhiqiao.

Speak with Zhiqiao, and she'll reveal that she's lost the hairpins. Return to Krosl, who will be astonished by the loss of the expensive hairpins.

Uncovering the Truth Behind the Smaragdus Jadeite

After speaking with Krosl, follow the waypoint to have a private conversation with Zhiqiao. Yanfei will explain that the lost hairpins might not be real Smaragdus Jadeite, as the ore has powerful magical properties that would make mortals ill if they came into contact with it.

Gathering Evidence to Confront Krosl

Cross the square and speak with Shitou, who will have some pieces of the ore that Krosl worked on. It turns out that the ore is not Smaragdus Jadeite, just as Yanfei suspected. Continue gathering evidence by speaking with Xingxi and visiting Bubu Pharmacy, where Yanfei will collect more testimony about Krosl's claim.

Confronting Krosl and Returning to Granny

Head back to Krosl and present the evidence in the following order:

• The Jade Mystery
• Mingxing Jewelry
• Bubu Pharmacy

Krosl will admit to creating fake Smaragdus Jadeite, as the real ore made him ill and he wasted a lot of money on it. After the conversation is over, return to Granny with the newly acquired Smaragdus Jadeite.
